How To Use a Positive Attitude To Get Over Feelings of Unworthiness
A positive attitude can really help if you feel unworthy about something. Maybe you feel unworthy of becoming wealthy, or finding that perfect someone. Whatever you might be feeling unworthy of being, having, or doing, the solution is the same. Ask yourself the right questions.
So what questions can you ask yourself? The following series of questions are very helpful when I feel unworthy of something.
Were You Born Unworthy?
When you were born, did somebody put a stamp on you that said “Unworthy”? Of course not. We're all born worthy of good things in life. The Universe doesn't pour blessings down on one person and withhold them from the next. That would be like rain in the forest only landing on certain trees. It doesn't work like that. The rain is offered freely to all the trees in the forest.
Why Do You Feel Unworthy?
Ask yourself why you feel unworthy. Is it something you did? Is there something wrong with you? You need to know why you feel unworthy before you can start working on shifting from a negative to a positive attitude.
Did You Do The Best You Could With What You Knew?
Now that you know why you feel unworthy, ask yourself if you did the best you could with what you knew at the time. This is how you can start shifting from a negative to a positive attitude. Most of us don't intend to do or be something negative. You probably did the best you could with what you knew at the time.
If you made a mistake, it's alright, you didn't do it on purpose. Forgive yourself. If you feel like there's something wrong with you as a person, know that you didn't become the way you are on purpose. Forgive yourself. The past is gone, you can't change it. What you can do is start making changes today to become a better person tomorrow.
What Can You Do Going Forward?
You're already on the right track by reading articles like this. Know that you are worthy of good things in life. You just need to start accepting these gifts into your life. So how do you do that? You get your thoughts, feelings, and actions aligned with what you desire.
Use a positive attitude approach with your thoughts and feelings. Think about what you want, not about the absence of what you want. If you're want more money, think about having more money instead of how you don't have enough money. Positive affirmations are a great tool for this. Alos, spend time every day getting into the feeling of what it would be like if you had what you desire. Visualization is great way to do this.
Once you've got your thoughts and feelings aligned, you're ready to take action. The best thing to do is to model other people who already have what you want. If you know some people, ask them how they did it. If you don't know anyone, read books and articles about people who have what you want.
