The Positive Attitude Secret To Having A Great Day

Would you like to know how you can use a positive attitude to make every day a good day? I will give you a hint, it has nothing to do with avoiding negative people, places, things, or events.

It is not always easy to control what happens to us. Sure, you could go out of your way to try to avoid the usual traffic jams on your way to work. Or maybe you can sneak around that co-worker who is always complaining. But it's hard to avoid everything that could set off a bad day for you.

Things sometimes happen that are unavoidable. Sometimes we stub our toe getting out of bed. Sometimes you get in the shower and turn on the water only to find out that you are out of shampoo or soap. Sometimes you or someone you know gets sick. It could be anything unavoidable that you would usually view as a negative experience.

So What Does A Positive Attitude Have To Do With This?

Well, since this website is focused on using a positive attitude to improve your life, you may have already guessed that you can somehow use it to create a great day for yourself. You were right.

Let me explain...

What really determines if you have a good day or a bad day is you. You are the one who decides if it was good or bad. And when I say "decides", I mean it. 

Make Every Day Great With A Positive Attitude

You see, the things that happen to you or me each day are neither good nor bad. They are what they are. We as human beings are the ones that decide how we feel about something.

For example, take our previous scenario of stubbing our toe when we get out of bed. If we want this to be a negative experience, we could complain that what happened was stupid, or that it is unpleasant to have a throbbing toe.

Or, we could be thankful that we have been blessed to have furniture to stub our toe against. And that we have a nervous system that lets us know that something is wrong with our toe and that we should be careful with it until it is healed again.

This might sound wierd, but would you rather be weird and happy, or normal and unhappy?

It all has to do with what you decide to focus on and the way you look at things. Look for things to be grateful for each day and also spend some time going through your victories of the day

Look for the good in each day, and try to focus more on it. Focus less on what you feel negative about. And if you must deal with something that appears to be negative, try to look at it from another perspective.

A positive attitude can do more than help you achieve your goals, it can make every day life a more pleasant experience. Give it a try today.
