If You Know How the Subconscious Mind Works - You Can Change Your Life
Once you understand how the subconscious mind works, it’s easier to implement a positive attitude and successful habits and beliefs in your life. Your subconscious mind is where you hold all of your beliefs and habits, which in turn control your life. The way you eat and the things you eat are usually habitual. If you’re addicted to anything, it’s because you have made a habit out of it.
What you believe about other people affects all of your relationships. What you believe about yourself affects your self-esteem and your chances of success in anything you do. The way you interpret events in your life is also a habit and can result in either a positive or negative attitude.
This is how the subconscious mind works to control your life. All the habits and beliefs you’re holding onto in your subconscious are working to keep everything in your life the same. You have a habit of making a certain amount of money, a habit of having successful or unsuccessful relationships, a habit of eating a certain amount and type of food, a habit of exercising regularly or not, a habit of having a positive attitude or a negative one, a habit of procrastinating or taking consistent action. The list is almost endless.
So how did you develop all these habits and beliefs?
The subconscious mind works and learns through repetition. As you grow up and go through life, you’re exposed to many different ideas and ways of doing things. Some of these ideas and ways of doing things are repeated regularly. You probably picked up your eating habits from your family as you ate with them repeatedly for years. You formed beliefs about yourself based on what others repeatedly told you growing up. By the time most people have reached the age of seventeen, they’ve heard “no you can’t” about 15,000 times and “yes you can” about 5,000 times. Which belief do you think has a better chance of sinking into your subconscious?
Trying to effect change in your life seems so difficult because you need to overcome your habitual way of acting or thinking. Most people try to make changes through willpower alone. But as many people realize when trying to follow a diet or quit smoking, for example, willpower has very little chance in overcoming your habits and beliefs.
The best way to change is to take advantage of how the subconscious mind works. Start implementing a subconscious mind reprogramming procedure. Through repetition, you can make having a positive attitude and success a habit. Once you’ve developed new habits, it’s impossible not to start seeing new results in your life.To learn more about this topic, please check out the related articles listed at the bottom of the page.
