Affirmation Techniques That Are Helping People Like You
In addition to the basic affirmation process, there are several other affirmation techniques you can use to increase your daily exposure to positive messages. How frequently you repeat your positive affirmations is directly related to how long it will take for those words to become new beliefs.
It’s important that you repeat your affirmations on a daily basis for at least 30 days. This is approximately how long it takes to begin to change a habit, and your beliefs are simply habitual ways of thinking. If you can bombard your subconscious mind with your affirmations frequently every day, you will dramatically increase your chances of turning those affirmations into new beliefs.
New beliefs = New results!
I’ve written up a list of affirmation techniques below. Hopefully some of these ideas will inspire you to add some additional affirmation sessions to your day. Be creative with the process. This is just my own list of ideas. Come up with some of your own ideas, whatever will work best for you and will give you enjoyable ways to fit in more repetitions each day.
Affirmation Techniques You Can Use
- Write your
positive affirmations on cards.
Carry one with you that you can pull out and read often throughout the
day.
- Read or
repeat your affirmations whenever you get
a minute.
Examples might be when you’re waiting in a line or when you’re sitting
at a stoplight. Consider taking a quick break at work to quietly read
them to yourself. It’s helpful if you keep one of your affirmation
cards on you at all times.
- Put your
affirmations on your computer.
This is
a great technique you can use with little time and effort. You can add
them to your screensaver or you can type them into a subliminal
program
(it’s free!) and have the positive affirmations subliminally repeated
to you over and over while you’re busy working on something else on
your computer.
- Create audio
recordings.
If you have access to a computer with a microphone, you could make
recordings of yourself repeating your affirmations and listen to them
while you’re driving or doing things around your home.
- Use specially
designed affirmation programs or
software like Think Right Now or Dream Manifesto.
These companies have already done the work for you to determine which
affirmation techniques are the most powerful. And both of them have
unique ways of making the affirmations more effective at changing your
internal beliefs.
- Post your
affirmations around your home where you
will see them frequently. Good spots are in your bathroom or
on your fridge. Whenever you spot a card, take a moment to read through
it.
Try some of these techniques today, or come up with some of your own. Do whatever makes it fun and easy for you to increase your daily repetitions.
Remember, the more often you can expose yourself to your affirmations, the sooner they will become new beliefs.
